My smile has been my love-hate relationship my entire life. Many of you won’t know the backstory to it, so let me divulge a little.
By all accounts, my smile now is what many would deem “a good set of gnashers” but to say it has taken many nights curled up with a pillow full of embarrassing tears, time and a lot of pain would be an understatement.
P.s this isn’t a blog post promoting needless cosmetic surgery before anyone thinks so! But occasionally, as in my case, some slightly more aggressive work is needed. As a toddler, I had a full set of teeth but as an adult, two of my front teeth decided they didn’t fancy showing up. Slightly problematic for a girl who loves to smile! I’ve had years of braces, removable plates (with fake teeth attached!), “stick-on” temporary teeth that so easily broke off and finally now, proper implants for those two missing teeth for which I had to go through a bone graft …painful stuff!
The point of sharing this (which isn’t easy!) is to explain why I place so much importance on keeping my teeth and gums healthy. After years of work, the last thing I want is to fall at an avoidable hurdle. So, when Zendium approached me to work with them, frankly I didn’t waste a minute. They are born out of science and powered by nature and all about protecting our mouth in a natural way … the way nature intended it. With its natural enzymes and proteins, Zendium is proven to boost the good bacteria in our mouths that protect it naturally, while reducing the bad bacteria that cause dental problems. A lot of toothpastes look to kill all bacteria, and if anyone understands the gut, that’s far from what we want to achieve! The range itself is pretty diverse, and I’ve just started using their “Gentle Whitening” one so looking forward to seeing how that turns out! Feel free to drop me a message on Instagram if you want an update. Other than that, the “Complete Protection” is what I’ve been using for the last month and I’m feeling squeaky clean! It also has a really nice, natural flavour.
P.s for people like me who are getting much more savvy about chemicals and parabens in our products, Zendium contains 0% Triclosan, 0% Parabens, and 0% SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulphate), which is a foaming agent that can cause irritation. All of us have our own battles, but for me, my smile has given me so much confidence in life and I don’t think a smile is just a selfish benefit; I think can add to other people’s lives too in a big way, making them feel at home and comfortable with you. Plus, try and stay angry whilst having a huge grin on your face, it’s genuinely almost impossible! Smiling is such a powerful tool and I’m proud that companies like Zendium are keeping the healthy side of smiling in check, so we don’t have to worry about it!

Such an embarrassment !

December 18, 2018Hi Carly!
My favourite thing about Christmas has to be the prepping and cooking all the food with my family and friends. I love eating but the best part is basking that ham/turkey.. baking those cheesy potatoes… simmering them mulled red grapes and then plating up everything and watching everyone’s eyes light up when they see all the food.
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
@sophia.lee.xx
