It’s a rare day that I can walk down the high street and find exactly what I’m looking for when it comes to wellness. Sometimes I need to stock up on protein, other days I’m craving a bar (or three) of chocolate but have just enough will power to beat the cadbury mini eggs yet can’t get hold of anything remotely healthy! Sometimes it’s beauty, and others it’s simply stocking up my cupboard with all the incredible immune-boosting, energy rich superfoods that truly do add to my life! All of which I prefer to do over the internet if I can help it!
There are a few companies online that offer “easy wellness shopping to the front door”. Most, admittedly, are stocked with brands you see everywhere with minimal inspiration. However, there are a small few out there who do things a little differently, and offer what I like to think of as an addictive Pinterest board for Wellness. Brands from Australia, USA and smaller niche companies that are truly offering something special that people need to know about.
Meet … NutriMarket. I was introduced to NutriMarket about a year ago. Tick one was that they stocked the main protein powder I’ve been using for the last 3 years – Sun Warrior. Tick two was my next few hours spent browsing and being introduced to some incredible brands I hadn’t yet heard of – Synergy Natural becoming a real favourite. So a year on and I thought it would be a nice idea to give you guys an idea of the kind of things I buy quite regularly online and even better, I’ve managed to secure everyone a fab healthy 15% discount code on your entire order if you want to buy any of the things that I’m going to talk about OR anything else on that site that takes your fancy! I know wellness doesn’t always come in at the less dear side of the shopping trolly so hopefully a great 15% will help!
All of these products are from NutriMarket and here’s why I use them!
SunWarrior Vegan protein
Now for anyone not Vegan, don’t look away! I’m not vegan either (although I am starting on a little plant-based escapade; you can read more on that here) but I’ve still chosen this protein 90% of the time over whey protein for the last 3 years and here’s why…
First of all, the taste. Oh WOW, do some vegan proteins get it wrong! I’m all for being as natural as possible but I am not up for putting something in my body that is genuinely disgusting. Sun Warrior is the first vegan protein I found that I really liked the taste, felt the benefits and digested very well! That being said, I do opt for the Vanilla flavour as the plain one isn’t quite as scrumptious! Per serving it has 18g of protein which is ample for my training and for those interested in the calories – it comes in at just 100Kcal per serving with 0g of sugar and 4g of carbohydrates.
When do I use it? Most of the time it’s after a morning training session when actually my hunger is generally pretty low but I know my body needs the fuel. It’s also a really good time to get in all the goodness into my body for the day ahead so I tend to throw in some greens and superfood powders (examples below).

Synergy Natural 100% Organic SuperGreens
These two kind of go hand in hand because it’s not often I’ll choose to take greens with water alone … I’m telling you now … they don’t taste too pretty! For me, the key to choosing a really fab green powder is about getting the maximum possible benefits out of that teaspoon of goodness which generally comes when you mix a section of them together. Synergy Natural have combined Spirulina, Chlorella, Barley grass and wheat grass to a) make things easy but b. make it as nutritionally dense as possible!
Gram for gram, some of these superfoods are the most nutritious whole foods known to us on the planet! If you’ve ever been worried that your vitamin and mineral count might be low then this is a really good place to start. One fun fact for you, a 3-gram serving of Spirulina has 3900% more iron than spinach. 3900%. If I’ve been away for a week on holiday and know I’ve had a few too many glasses of vino and eaten nothing like my usual diet, and feeling pretty lethargic and low-energy because of it … this is where my hand reaches!

Zkin Brightening and Hydrating Masque
I’ve been dealt a few bad cards but fortunately my skin is one thing that on the whole is pretty good. I presume is partly genetics and I also like to think it’s partly the way I treat it. I’m no dermatologist but my theory is pretty simple – keep things as clean and as natural as possible and your skin will thank you! So whilst I don’t pay the sufficient attention to it that I should, when I do (not only do I found it super relaxing and wonder why I don’t do it more!) but I pick products that I think will work with my skin, and not against it.
The main issues I face are dehydration (especially given I spend a lot of time in Dubai with Jack in super humid / aircon environments) so that’s why I chose this mask from Zkin … the fact it smells like chocolate was just an added bonus ;). I also never realised how much dehydration affects the ageing of the skin, but very simply, when the skin is dry and doesn’t have it’s natural ‘plumpness’, the creases and wrinkles in the skin deepen and can make a big difference to the appearance. Since learning that I’ve been using face masks a lot more than I ever was.
A few of the benefits of this mask specifically; the antioxidants in the raw cocoa smooth and brighten whilst the kaolin, which comes from the clay, removes the impurities, aka, the stuff we don’t want! There’s also the glowing benefits from the seaweed leaving skin looking très fresh. It’s a really lovely weekly mask.

The Carob Kitchen Coconut Bar.
Last but not least – healthy chocolate! I couldn’t leave this blog post without including something edible after all. The Carob Kitchen is from Australia and started out as a family planting their very own Carob tree and from there it’s just grown and grown.
My tag line if you haven’t already seen it is, “A Guilt-free Lifestyle”, and to me that means a few things. It means balance, it means never feeling restricted or unhappy in the wellness part of your life. It means making good choices that are only ever connected with good feelings! So whilst I would never kick myself for diving into a Terry’s chocolate orange should the occasion arise, I really do prefer to eat something that I know is genuinely better for my body but still tastes insanely good, and that’s where healthy chocolate like The Carob Kitchen comes in.
When it comes to healthier chocolate, it truly is black or white in terms of the recipe and flavour. I genuinely LOVE Carob Kitchen taste, it’s SO much sweeter than a lot of other brands trying to do the same thing but the sweetness is all naturally occurring, coming from the carob beans and coconut flakes rather than dashings and dashings of even unrefined sugars. I honestly couldn’t recommend trying this chocolate enough – as long as you’re not prone to addictive tendencies ;).
