A 3D Dining Experience!

3D miniature chefs, 6 course menu and a dinner show like no other, say hello to last Friday night!

Before last weekend, I had never heard of ‘projection mapping’ or experienced anything of the sort. A technology that allows you to combine story telling with dining in a super fun way.

Fully expect to be transported back to Peter Pan years!

“Le Petit Chef” is your story teller and the tale is Marco Polo’s travels across the world … each new destination brings an exciting native cuisine, be it Indian, Thai, Arabic or French. It’s rather difficult to capture the 3D aspect in pictures, but the below will give you an idea of the creativity and fun concept that this is!

Even my very grown up husband couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear, we’re all kids at heart after all!

First up are mediterranean-inspired canapés to get the taste buds going …

After the three yummy starters, a quick palate cleanser with lychee, pineapple and ginger sorbet, topped off with dry ice smoke!

At the start of the meal, you chose one of four main courses. I went for Sea Bass and Jack, the Duck in hoisin sauce – both were super moreish and tasty.

The finale! Le Petit Chef makes the dessert in 3D that is served straight after in real life. It brings a whole other dimension to gastronomy and I’m a big fan! Rice pudding is normally not my thing at all but wow, I genuinely licked the bowl clean, so good.

With saffron, cardamon and pistachio and raspberry sorbet!

Dinner time stories with Le Petit Chef has two evening sittings at 7pm and 9.30pm. It’s 450 AED each (without alcohol) but there is wine and beer available to buy separately to enjoy with the meal.

At the World Trade Club, it’s running until May 27th so book your tickets before it leaves Dubai! You can find booking details here www.dinnertimestory.com.

It was something so different to do, full of surprises and laughs and highly recommend a visit!
