Bananas have become such a staple item in lots of healthy foodie’s fruit bowls! We all know they’re yummy to eat but they’re even better to bake with. Whether it’s banana pancakes, healthy banana bread, banana and coconut cookies or banana ice cream ”“ there’s always something you can put together with them and normally pretty damn quickly! The natural sweetness from the bananas turns a naughty dessert into a guilt-free healthy treat whilst getting all the nutritious vitamins and minerals which you wouldn’t from typical refined sugars. Let’s be honest, they’re a win, win!
I’ve rounded up my favourite healthy banana recipes so you can all fill your boots with some banana baking this coming weekend!

May 18, 2016HI Carly, thanks for all the great tips. Do you have any alternatives for the cookies to replace dates. My mum has a low fibre diet which means she can’t digest dates. What would you suggest putting in as an alternative? Big fan of your’s thank you for all your tips and positivity :) – Becky

May 18, 2016Hi Becky,
You might actually be alright without the dates…it will just take a little bit of judging in consistency. If it’s too soft, add more coconut and if it’s too dry, try adding some nut butter. You just need to be able to make them into circular shapes. Add a tbs of honey too to replace the natural sweetness that the dates bring. And thank you, that’s really sweet and it’s so nice to hear it :)
Let me know if it works without the dates! xx
